Welcome to the newly named jasminegearhart.com! The name change online and IRL was long overdue after getting married last December, but I should be Jasmine Gearhart pretty much everywhere now (and although I will answer to Jasmine Pfingsten forever, the new name is objectively cooler and easier for people to spell, lol).
Following up on my last "now" update, I'm really relieved and happy that there are more conversations today about AI safety considerations than there ever have been thanks to the HuggingFace incident and the viral Jacob Coxon tweets. Maybe just in the nick of time? Maybe it will be enough? Time will tell.
Other fun major updates include finding out that I'm pregnant (!!) with twins (!!!!) which motivated my husband and I to purchase our first home (!!??!?!1). We've also been transitioning my husband into a new career that he's really excited about after recovering from a work injury. In the face of all that, designing and developing my personal site went by the wayside. Once we're settled in the new house, I'll be excited to pick it back up and maybe even make it my big maternity leave project. Life is full, busy, and moving in a really beautiful direction.
